A new member joined our research team. MSc Anna Chyba has started her PhD. Her main iterest will be modelling of corrosion in reinforced concrete in real 3D mictostructure.

Member of our research group is being one of the three winners of the 2021 Gustav Eirich Award.
The aim of the award is to promote ideas and, to support young talents in technical disciplines. The Gustav Eirich Award is a contribution to the long-term success of companies in the refractories production and application industries. The Gustav Eirich Award is presented for the three best dissertations (Ph.D. theses) in the field of refractories.
Jakub Stec was invited to the 64th International Colloquium on Refractories (ICR) in Aachen, Germany to present his winning work during a special session and prizegiving ceremony on September 29th and 30th, 2021.
29 April 2021 took place III Materials Science Forum Seminar. Two lecturers gave presentations: prof. Jolanta Janczak-Rusch (Swiss Federal Laboratories for Materials Science and Technology) “Exploringnanomultilayers for joining technology” and prof. Michael J. Demkowicz (Texas A&M University, USA) ”Helium in metal nanocomposites”.
4 March 2021 took place II Materials Science Forum Seminar. The main topic of this seminar was 3D printing and additive manufacturing. Two lecturers gave presentations: prof. Dariusz kata from AGH and prof. Wojciech Święszkowski from Warsaw Politechnic.
