Biography

Research assistant at Department of Physical Chemistry and Modelling, Faculty of Materials Science and Ceramics, AGH UST. PhD thesis, in collaboration with the industry, focuses on the topic of degradation of refractory materials used in blast furnace in contact with molten crude iron and non-destructive measurements of refractory materials using e.g. X-ray computed tomography. Research activities mainly focuses on the numerical modelling of mass, energy and momentum transport processes in the 3D geometries representing the morphology of multi-phase materials, e.g. refractories, building and thermoelectric materials. Principal investigator in the project of Polish National Science Centre which goal is a development of evolutionary two-phase pore-scale flow model in 3D geometry coupled with mass transport and selective dissolution of refractory materials.
