COMSOL Conference 2026 Cambridge

COMSOL Conference 2026 Cambridge

24th September 2026

September 23–25, 2026, Churchill College, Cambridge took place international event gothering scientits and industry people all over the word who discussed latest achievements and challanges in the field of modelling and simulation using COMSOL Multiphysics. The Modelling and Inverse Method Research Group was represented by its leader prof. Robert Filipek who presented latest results: R. Filipek, K. Szyszkiewicz-Warzecha, J. Stec, M. Janeczko, “Optimization of SHS Process of Mg2Si
Thermoelectric Materials Synthesis”. Promising thermoelectric materials used for waste energy recovery have been identified among semiconducting silicides, selenides and antimonides, which might be produced by Self-propagating High-temperature Synthesis (SHS). 3D modelling is used for rescaling and optimization of the SHS process. Optimization was used to find the solution of the inverse problem allowing for determination of unknown model parameters.
