4th Minisymposium “Materials, Characterization and Modelling”

On November 7, 2025, the 4th Minisymposium “Materials, Characterization and Modelling” was held at the Faculty of Materials Science and Ceramics of the AGH University of Krakow.

Minisymposium was organized by Prof. Robert Filipek, PhD, DSc, Eng and Prof. Ehrenfried Zschech. The guests were then welcomed by the Rector of the AGH University of Krakow, Prof. Jerzy Lis, PhD, DSc, Eng. The first lecture, entitled “MXene-Based Wearables for Astronaut Health Monitoring: Lessons from the Ignis Mission to International Space Station,” was delivered by Dr. Krzysztof Grabowski from the Faculty of Space Technologies. Next, Prof. Agnieszka Jastrzębska from the Warsaw University of Technology gave a lecture on “MXenes – The New Generation of Multi-Tasking 2D Materials.” Next, Prof. Ehrenfried Zschech (BTU Cottbus, Germany) gave a lecture entitled “Making MXenes Visible – Microscopy Today and in the Future.” The last speaker was Dr. Philipp Wollmann (CEO of PVA Vision GmbH, Dresden, Germany) with a lecture entitled “PVA Vision GmbH – Innovation in Metrology.”
